Get Into the Green Scene

We are proud of our commitment to the environment and are taking initiative to reduce the amount of waste we produce. By 2030, we expect to divert 90 percent of our waste from going into landfills. In order to achieve this, Daikin has created a Green Team to engage employees in promoting waste elimination, resource conservation, landfill divergence and the gathering of employee suggestions. The Green Team is made up of volunteers from every business unit and department in order to identify every possible recycling opportunity. In addition, the team is working to significantly expand our waste minimization programs to include composting, along with plastic and foam recycling.  

Meetings for the Green Team are held monthly at the Daikin Texas Technology Park, and employees can attend no matter their location as meetings are held via WebEx.  

Employees who aren’t on the Green Team can also help make an impact. Recycling containers are stationed throughout the building, and the Green Team encourages asks employees to use them! Together, we can all make a collective difference through mindful actions.
